KI 3371 Reserve or request material in Oria

(updated )
Here you will find information on how to order books and articles, reserve borrowed material, track request status, and understand when something cannot be requested.
Reserve borrowed material (waiting list)
If the item you need is on loan (or held in closed stacks), you can join the waiting list by reserving (requesting) the material in Oria. When the book becomes available, you will receive a notification by SMS or email.

Order from other libraries
The University Library offers the option to request books and journal articles from other libraries when the material is not available in its own collections. The interlibrary loan service is available to UiB students and employees, as well as Helse Bergen affiliated employees.

Pickup and notification
You will receive a pickup notification by SMS and/or email when the material is ready for collection at your library.

What cannot be requested
Books that are available on open shelves at your library/campus cannot be requested. Note that the The Arts and Humanities Library, The Law Library, The Social Sciences, Music and Psychology Library and the Science and Technology Library are considered part of the same campus due to their close proximity.

Why is there no request button?
If no request button is shown, this usually means that you must collect the book yourself, or that the title cannot be requested/borrowed due to current lending rules. When you are logged into Oria, you can see the available request options.
