KI 0583 How do I recover a deleted file in OneDrive?

If you are unlucky and delete a file from your OneDrive, you should be able to recover the file.

Go to start.uib.no, select Apps > OneDrive and click the recycle bin option in the left sidebar menu.



It takes you into the recycle bin of your OneDrive and you can see all the files that have been deleted.

Files that are deleted are available for 93 days before they disappear.

Select the file or files you want to restore and click Restore at the top of the page. The files will then be automatically restored to the same location as they was deleted from. If the files are deleted from the Recycle Bin, they will end up in the "Second-stage recycle bin". 

Note: If your OneDrive recycle bin contains more than 5000 items, the oldest ones will disappear so that the total number of files in the recycle bin can not exceed 5000. If the total size of the recycle bin exceeds 200% of the total space (2TB), the oldest items will also disappear before 93 days.
