KI 0972 Connecting to desktop.uib.no from a Mac

To connect to Desktop.uib.no (aka Skrivebord.uib.no) from a Mac, you must do the following:
NB! In order to connect to desktop.uib.no, you must be connected to VPN first.
  1. Install the Windows App (previously Remote Desktop) program from the Managed Software Center or from the Mac App Store.
  2. Start the program.
  3. Select New ( + ) > Desktop
  4. Set the PC Name to skrivebord.uib.no and log in with your UiB user account
  5. Save and close the window
  6. Select the saved profile and click Start
