KI 1091 Change authentication method for multi-factor login

It can be useful to change the authentication method if you temporarily need to switch from app to SMS, e.g. if you have a new phone.
It is possible to set up an alternative authentication method (SMS). This can be useful if you change your mobile phone so it is quick to get started with a new one.

You can do this on the page My Sign-Ins / My logins.

NB: This requires that you can still approve login from your old phone. If you have reset, or lost the phone you approve with, please contact us for resetting the two-factor login.

We recommend using an authentication app instead of SMS, and only use SMS as an intermediate solution.
  1. First click + Add method, then select Phone in the list that appears and then Next:

  2. Then select the country Norway, enter your mobile phone number and select Send code in message before you finally click Next.
  3. Enter the code you receive on your phone to confirm the setup:
If the code was correct, you can click Finish. You have now added an alternative way to verify your identity.

Now you can reset your old phone. Once done, you can follow this guide again, to change back from SMS to app authentication.
