KI 2913 New Management Setup for UiB's Mac Clients

As part of our security initiative, the University of Bergen (UiB) has adopted Intune as the management solution for new Mac clients starting from autumn 2023. Now, all existing Mac clients that are not yet enrolled in Intune will also be enrolled. For more information, see Knowledge Article KI 2882 in UiBHjelp. The enrollment will take place during the spring and summer of 2025.

Mac clients enrolled in Intune are a prerequisite for easy access to UiB's internal resources, both on wired and wireless networks. Mac clients that are not enrolled in Intune will no longer be supported by the IT department after August 15, 2025.

Users affected by this change will be informed through the "Managed Software Center," where the app "UiB Tune-In Intune" will be available for installation on the front page.

Users will complete the conversion themselves by selecting "Install." The process is detailed in this guide: KI 2783. The procedure usually takes only a few minutes.
