KI 3194 REDCap in SAFE
When REDCap is available to you on your SAFE desktop, you must log in to REDCap. Start Firefox on the SAFE desktop and go to NameOfSAFEdesktop.redcap.safe.uib.no, for example newyork.redcap.safe.uib.no.
Log in with your UiB username and password.
Fill in your name, email, and password in the next window and wait for the email.
Copy or enter the verification address you received in the email into the browser window on the SAFE desktop.
When this is done, update the ticket at hjelp.uib.no to state that the step is completed, and IT can give you administrator access to REDCap so you can manage the projects in REDCap.
New users in REDCap must always create their own account in this way before they can use REDCap and gain access to projects, but they do not need to contact IT to become administrators, as the system owner can manage this themselves.
