KI 3605 Possible Service Disruptions Following a DDoS Attack

On Saturday, 29 August, a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack affected several national services used across the higher education sector. The attacks were not directed at the University of Bergen (UiB), but they may have impacted services provided by external partners. The situation was stabilized on Saturday evening.

As a result of this incident, some services may still experience intermittent instability or availability issues. If you encounter problems accessing a service, we recommend first connecting to UiB via VPN and then trying again.

Some of the services that may be affected include:

Feide (login, customer portal, and websites)
Common Student System (FS)
StudentWeb
Søknadsweb (Application Web)
FS Admin
Cristin
Samordna opptak (Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service)
