KI 3645 Ongoing DDoS Attack Affecting National Services

A distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack is currently affecting several national services within the Norwegian higher education sector. The attacks are not directed at the University of Bergen (UiB), but may impact services provided by external partners.

As a result of this incident, some services may experience instability and availability issues. If you are unable to access a service, we recommend waiting and trying again later if possible. You may also try logging in using ID-porten or BankID where available. If you are located outside Norway, we recommend first connecting to the UiB network via VPN and then attempting to log in again.

Some of the services that may be affected due to authentication-related issues include:

Feide (login, customer portal, and websites)
Common Student System (FS)
Studentweb
Søknadsweb (Application Web)
FS Admin
Cristin
Samordna opptak (Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admission Service)
