KI 0749 When I log in to the printer with my card, I get another user's name

If the previous user left the printer without logging off after use, the printer will wait for the user for up to three minutes before giving up and logging the user off.

When you then present a card unknown to the system, the system thinks the logged in (previous) user is attempting to register an extra card. If your card had been known to the system, it would instead have logged out the previous user.

To resolve this problem we have to read your card manually and have it moved to the right user account. You can have this done in one of the following places:

The IT Service Desk BRITA in Nygårdsgaten 5
With the IT assistants in one of the libraries (UBBHF, UBBRF, UBSMP, UBBMED)
With the IT assistants in Jus (Faculty of Law).

Since the cards are encrypted, it is unfortunately not possible for us to distinguish between your and the other user's card without physically reading your card.

Remember to log out of the printer after use!
