KI 0864 What IT equipment can be recycled and what is electronic waste?

Both usable and defective computer and telecommunications equipment can be delivered with data recycling. Other electrical equipment and waste is delivered as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).

In the scheme for recycling computer equipment, we can, among other things, submit:

Laptops
Desktops
Monitors
Mice, keyboards and other PC peripherals
Mobile phones
Tablets
Projector and other audiovisual equipment
Servers
Cash register systems
Printers and digital copiers
Network equipment

If the equipment is usable, it will be resold. Therefore, pack the equipment properly without damaging it,

Do not remove hard disks or other components from the computers/devices! Contents of storage media will be securely deleted. Computers that has been used for the storage of sensitive personal data (SAFE, health networks, etc.) should not be delivered for data recycling. If you have equipment that has been used or could have been used to store such data, it should be delivered to the IT division for destruction. Please contact us to make an appointment.
