KI 0881 Advanced VPN - Split tunneling

This option will create a tunnel that only routes traffic intended for the University of Bergen (129.177.0.0/16). All other traffic is handled by the local network. The split tunneling option should only be used by users with above-average knowledge about VPN and IP routing.

Note: Split tunneling will not give you a University of Bergen source IP address for internet traffic. If you need a UiB source IP address to reach resources, this option is not for you.

To take advantage of the split tunneling policy option, all you need to do is enter the following URL when establishing the VPN connection: vpn3.uib.no/split
