KI 0967 How do I record my Zoom meeting?
General information and privacy
If you want to record your meeting or video seminar, all participants must be informed of this in advance and given the opportunity to object to the recording being made, stored and distributed (read more about permission to use of photos and movies here). We recommend that you clarify this, both in writing before the meeting and by a verbal reminder when the meeting starts.Participants who do not want to be visible or heard can turn off the camera and microphone and still attend your meeting or teaching. Participants can also rename their screen name and be completely incognito.
Automatically start recording your video seminar
Activate the recording feature under Meeting Options when you set up your video seminar: Note that a recording that is scheduled in advanced will start recording the minute you start your Zoom meeting. If you choose this option, expect a great deal of background noise and informal chatting at the start of your recording. You can avoid the noise to some extent by turing on Mute participants upon entry when you set up the meeting.
Start the recording manually
You can start recording manually by clicking the Record button after you have started the video seminar.Stop and/or pause the recording from the control bar at the bottom of the screen or in the top left corner.
Local recordings will not be available until you end the video seminar (End meeting for all). Remember to not close Zoom or shut off your computer until the conversion process is finished.
Store the recording locally on your computer
You must store the recorded video seminar on your own computer as a first step. Before you start recording, make sure that you have enough disk space on your computer. Video files quickly fill up your disk!Change the folder in which you want to store your video recordings by launching the Zoom client, choose Settings (cogwheel icon) > Recording.
