KI 1019 Software for private PCs

The IT division cannot install software on private PCs. We do however offer some software for self-service download.

Some software available to UIB users under a site license agreement can be downloaded from: https://universityofbergen.sharepoint.com/sites/ProgramvarepUiB/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx?RootFolder=%2Fsites%2FProgramvarepUiB%2FShared%20Documents%2FGeneral.

Most of these programs are limited to UiB work or study-related use (may not be used commercially).

Remember to keep the software on your home PC up to date!
If you only use administrator login only when you need it, you will also be able to limit the dangers from unwanted software.
Be wary of what you download: Do you need the software? Is it safe to install? Searching the web before installing may provide the answer.
