KI 1044 Decommissioning of WINS (Windows Internet Name Service) at UiB

At 18. February, we are starting to decommission the WINS service at the UiB campus network.

This will have little effect on the "normal" use of IT services.

If you have set up your own links to machines or resources, you may find that you have to replace short names with full names for a server connection, e.g. \\finse.uib.no\ replaces \\finse\.
