KI 1867 Create an account on EndNote online and sync your EndNote library.

This article describes the procedure for creating an account on EndNote online. The account can be used as a standalone reference management tool, or you can use it as a backup of your EndNote library by syncing the two programs. Once you have synced your EndNote library with EndNote online, you will also be able to share it with other EndNote users.

It may be advantageous to use your University account email as your username, but it is not required. The EndNote online account will be linked to UiB when you log in to it while on campus (or using vpn).

Procedure:

• Select Preferences from the Edit menu (on Windows) or the EndNote 20 menu (on Mac)
• Then select the Sync category in the left margin and click the Enable Sync button

• To create a new account on EndNote online, click the Sign Up button

• Enter the email address you want to link the account to. Click Submit

• To finalize, you need to create a password for the EndNote online account.
It is recommended to choose a unique password that you do not use on other accounts.

Check your email to verify the EndNote online account.
