KI 2251 Interruption in IT services Saturday 16.12
This coming Saturday, 16.12, there may be interruptions in all IT services and network connections (wired and wireless) on the university campus between 08:00 and 17:00. This is due to maintenance and updates on many of our systems.
If you choose to use the services during this period, you must save your work often. If you notice that your computer is hanging or a service is unavailable, take a break and try again.
NB: Linux clients must be restarted on Monday morning before the machines are used.
The SAFE service will be interrupted from night to Saturday (between 00:00 and 17:00). Therefore, it is advisable not to start any jobs in SAFE that are scheduled to run from Friday evening onward.
# Network in the BB building down Saturday between 08:30 and 15:00
The network on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the BB building, Haukeland, will, in periods, be unavailable between 08:30 and 15:00. This applies to both wired network and EduRoam.
# Updating the network in central parts of Nygårdshøyden, Saturday between 08:00 and 15:00
Due to some maintenance work, the network in central part of Nygårdshøyden will have short interruptions of about 10-15 minutes between 08:00 – 15:00, this coming Saturday 16.12. Areas that may be affected:
- HF, Faculty of Law, Univ Museum, Arboretum and Botanical Garden
- The Faculty of Psychology, The Faculty of Social Sciences
- MatNat, including the Science Building, Geophysics, Jahnebakken, HiB area/Thormøhlens gate

The storage service Billy will be down from 09:00 – 14:00, Sunday 17th December due to maintenance.
