KI 2841 Hoe can I get a license for an Adobe program?

(updated )
Licenses are normally ordered for one user from the date until December 10. Once the order has been placed by the supplier, the IT division must be contacted to assign the license.
Ordering procedure
See knowledge item KI 0956 What licenses are available in Adobe Creative Cloud? for information about the different licenses.

The user of the license must be an employee or student at UiB. The program(s) can only be used for UiB purposes.
  1. When you know which license you need and for which program(s), you must have the the order/purchase approved and have the customer send the license order to our license supplier (Crayon).
  2. When the order has been sent to Crayon: Contact the IT department with information about:
    1. Which license (program)
    2. Who will use the license (person's name, username)
    3. Order number from the ordering system (starting with 600xxxx).
The IT division will then register the license in our internal register (which is used as the basis for next year's renewals) and assign the license to the user in Adobe Creative Cloud.
Start using the program
When the license has been assigned in Adobe Creative Cloud, the user will receive an email from Adobe with a notification that the license has been assigned.
The user can then log in to Creative Cloud to access the program.
The user can have the program(s) installed and logged in on two devices (computers) but only use the program on one computer at a time. NB! For Adobe Acrobat Reader 2024 there is a separate procedure, see KI 3130 for a description.
Especially for 'Device' licenses (Creative Cloud All applications for HED - shared devices)
If the programs are to be used by several different users on the same computer, e.g. in a student lab, "device" licenses are required, also called "HED - shared devices". See the knowledge card KI 0956 What licenses are available in Adobe Creative Cloud? for information about the different licenses.

Such licenses are ordered for each computer. The license can then only be used on one machine, but by an unlimited number of users as long as they are employees or students at UiB and use the programs only for UiB purposes.

The ordering procedure is the same, but here the IT division must know which machines the license/programs will be used on. Enter the machine name, which usually begins with UiB-xxxx. (See KI 1066 How do I find the name of my machine? for more information.)
