KI 0325 Grant users access to an existing SAFE server

To ensure information regarding access is authoritative, the project leader must update the access document to allow new users or changed access. In order to update the access document, the project manager must log in to the SAFE server. For make the SAFE team aware of the update, create a new issue in https://hjelp.uib.no.
  1. Open the access document
    This is an Excel document placed here: This pc --> Common (S:)  --> systemowner  . The name is Access_<name>.xlsx, where name is replaced by the name of the name of the SAFE server (click to enlarge the image):
  2. Update the access document
    The following columns must be completed: Full name, Username and Mobile number. Also, it is useful to fill in the following: System owner and Export. If you leave them blank, their default setting is "No".
  3. Report that the document has been updated
    This is done by creating a request in UiBhelp through the form SAFE - Updated access document. The shortcut to this form can be found on the right side of this page. Alternately, you can create your own issue/request, where you ask that your recent changes are implemented.
