UiBhelp's public knowledge cards

KI 0595 I cannot log on to the printer with my access card; what is wrong?

There may be several reasons for this:
  1. Your user account does not exist in the Pullprint system. You must have a UiB employee or student account or a course account to be automatically added. Special cards and guest cards are not added. If you are not in the system, you will often get an error message that says something about a PUK code. Register the card according to instructions in KI 0594 If the printer says "unknown user" you must register your access card, or contact us.
  2. 2. Remember that your card must be registered manually when used for the first time. See instructions in KI 0594 If the printer says "unknown user" you must register your access card .
  3. Your card may be worn so that the card reader is not able to interpret it. Worn, old or damaged cards will often cause problems to Pullprint even if they still work for accessing rooms and buildings.
  4. The printer or card reader has got stuck. Try turning it on and off again. Never pull out the printer socket from the power outlet.
  5. You do not have money in the Pullprint account (applies to students). Top up your account via payprint.uib.no, or see the page KI 0607 How to deposit money in Pullprint account. If the available amount on your Pullprint account is lower than the cost of your queued prints, you'll get the message "Credit Too Low" when logging in.
