KI 0608 What can I do if the printer isn't working?

Several errors can occur when you use the printers at UiB, here are some solutions to various problems.
  1. You may use another printer. The prints you have sendt, can be printed on any network printer atUiB.
        
  2. Turn the printer off and on again. This will solve many problems and should always be tried first.

       
  3. Check if the network cable is commected to a wall outlet. You may disconnect and reconnect the network cable. After reconnecting, check that the green and yellow lights near the contact light up.

       
  4. See if the printer's display shows any error messages that may be useful in locating the problem.

       
  5. Check that toner and paper are available in the printer. Extra paper should normally be found near the printer. Toner is delivered to a contact point near the printer when required. Please contact us to request changing toner if it is empty.
       
  6. Verify that the prints you sent are configures with A4 as the paper size
If problems persist, you may report them to Ricoh Service. Please find informaation about this on a sticker on the printer.
