Adobe Creative Cloud are rental licenses that run until December 10 this year. For further use, the license must be renewed.
The license was purchased a short time ago, does it still need to be renewed?
Yes, all licenses run from the order date until December 10 this year. The exception is licenses that are ordered now at the end of November and explicitly ordered as for next year. These are being continued.
I use Adobe Acrobat Pro, do I also need to renew?
Probably, yes. As of the summer of 2024 Acrobat Pro is only available as a annual subscription license, like the other Adobe Creative Cloud programs. If you purchased a stand-alone Adobe Acrobat Pro before this, however, this may be a purchase license that lasts the life of the program and does not need to be renewed.
I do not want to renew for 12 new months, can a shorter expiration date be set?
No. You can, however, transfer the license to another user. This is arranged by the IT division by order of the local purchaser/manager.
I have a PC or Mac that is not managed by the IT division, does renewal apply here as well?
Yes, given that you have been granted a license via UiB, the same will apply, regardless of the type of computer you have.
I currently have two programs (for example Photoshop CC and Illustrator CC) do both licenses need to be renewed?
Yes, if the licenses were ordered individually, they must be renewed individually. If you have a license on Adobe Creative Cloud all Applications, you already have access to all the programs in the same package, and only need to renew one license.
I'm not sure what I have, is there an overview?
