KI 1873 What exceptions apply for the content copy to OneDrive?

Overview of current exceptions being applied to the content copy to OneDrive, as part of the migration.

The content of your home directory will be copied to OneDrive. This includes your desktop folder (aka. Desktop).

The following exceptions apply to the content copy, i.e. these files and folder will not be copied automatically:

Hidden files will not be copied. (OneDrive does not support the file attribute hidden).
Hidden folders and their contents will not be copied. (Ditto).
Downloads folders will not be copied, i.e. folders like O:\Downloads, O:\Settings\Downloads et al.
The Settings folder O:\Settings will not be copied with the exception of the subfolders Desktop, Favorites, Templates and Stata.

You will receive a "smart" report about the files and folders which were not copied, for the purpose of transparency. Smart means among others that

all content residing in a hidden folder will not be reported, since the hidden parent folder is included in the report,
the report will not include centrally documented hidden folders, which have not been copied (like O:\Settings).
