I am asked to give my username? What is my username?
Your username is made up of letters and numbers and identifies you as a user. When you log in to various IT services, it is the username that identifies you, and together with the password, gives you access. Your username is created when your access (user account) is created, and normally never changes as long as you are at UiB.
If you don't know what your username is, you can find it at tilgang.uib.no under your name > Profile settings > Username:
Note that your username is not the same as your email address. In some places, the email address is used as login instead of the username. (This applies especially to employees.)
