KI 2217 Change in SMTP.uib.no: Change in sending email for some users
As part of the work to simplify the email services at UiB, the old SMTP service (SMTP.uib.no) will nmot be available for client computers after 15 November 2023.
The vast majority of users at UiB send e-mail through Outlook or other e-mail programs that use Exchange. For you there are no changes. So if you use Outlook on a UiB PC, this message does not apply to you!
However, if you have set up an email program yourself, and did not use the default settings, you may need to change the settings. If you are unsure, please look at the settings for how your email program sends email. If SMTP.uib.no is used, you must add the email account again with updated settings.
