KI 2678 Backup of Microsoft 365 data

During the autumn of 2024, a new backup solution for data stored in Microsoft 365 will be implemented. The initial backup started in November. Daily backups will be taken once it is completed.

Backup is a last resort when data cannot be recovered from the M365 service itself.

A different backup solution runs in parallel which will be discontinued in 2025.

What is backed up?

SharePoint
Teams
Exchange Online mailboxes

Note about backup of Teams

A backup user becomes a member of all teams. This user should not be removed. If removed, it will be added again automatically.
