KI 2702 Teams Classic is being phased out

Teams Classic is being phased out and replaced with New Teams. The transition has taken place in the background, but some multi-use PCs (Windows) may still have remnants of Teams Classic. In this regard, the IT department is cleaning up and removing old installations.
What does this mean for me?
Practically nothing. If you have been regularly using Microsoft Teams, the program has automatically been upgraded from Classic to New. You do not need to do anything.
Why is the IT department doing this?
Due to the way Microsoft has set up the installation of Teams on the PC, there may be several different versions of Teams installed on one and the same machine at any given time.
This can create challenges when, for example, logging onto a PC where an older version of Teams is installed, and it is unable to update itself.
What if the cleanup causes problems?
Teams will always be available in the browser, http://teams.microsoft.com, as an emergency solution. In addition, employees have access to install Teams from the Microsoft Store.
Also, check the Start menu by searching for Teams.
Where can I get help?
